The building object of the project is part of the Campus of the Sacro Cuore Catholic University – Campus of Piacenza, at the entrance side via Emilia. It is a modest building, with the campus bar on the ground floor and first floor offices.
The project involved flanking a new building with the existing one on the ground floor, where the campus canteen can be set up, as well as a new distribution of the ground floor of the building and the bar
The new building has been made of prefabricated wooden modules and has a main room set up with tables for eating meals, kitchen rooms, food preparation and distribution, as well as public services and dedicated to staff. The new building is lined with high-pressure HPL sheets and is joined to the existing one by an iron and glass structure that covers the inlet air.
The main room has large windows that open onto the side garden and fixed roadside. Access to the room was closed by packaging sliding panels. The same type of closure was made on the food distribution side. With closed walls it is therefore possible to obtain a space that can be used as a multipurpose room, served by a bar, suitable for presentations or events.
